Bob Harris grew up spending summers on a farm near Opelika that has been in the Harris Family for five generations. Always returning to the family farm at least three times a year for the last 50 years, Bob and his wife finally made it permanent and retired to Auburn six years ago. “Retirement” has been fulfilling for Bob here in Lee County, where he has gone back to his first love of commercial, land and acreage sales, and he is thrilled to bring his experience and passion to Three Sixty.
“I always knew that I would retire to East Alabama because of the close-knit community of family and friends I’ve known my whole life. It has been a true joy to make my part-time home a place where I have set down roots. Working in Real Estate here, I enjoy the challenge of helping a buyer and seller work together so that everyone wins in the process.”
Bob graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1970, received his Nebraska real estate license and sold farms and ranches for several years before starting the real estate company Ag-Land Realty, where he was the Broker with 50 agents working for him across the state. After 16 years at Ag-Land, Bob served as the Energy Director for the state of Nebraska, as a Bioenergy Coordinator at the U.S. Department of Energy and served in multiple roles for the Tennessee Valley Authority in Muscle Shoals, Alabama before retiring back home in Lee County.
Bob and his wife Diane love living in Gold Hill in their antebellum home with their two children – John and Louie. Bob loves spending time with his boys, hunting, working on projects and improving the family farm.
