The East Alabama Medical Center Foundation secures charitable gifts on behalf of East Alabama Medical Center and its programs. Since all foundation staff are EAMC employees, 100% of donations go toward the program specified by the donor. The Diabetes and Nutrition Center helps offset diabetes education and supplies costs for underserved and uninsured patients.
The Diabetes and Nutrition Center is close to our hearts at Three Sixty, as we have multiple agents with diabetes. One of our agents, Diana Ramage, co-founded the Swing 4 Diabetes Golf Tournament to benefit the center.
Swing 4 Diabetes
Diana met her co-founder Kendall Simmons years ago when they were both receiving physical therapy treatment for sports injuries. Diana and Kendall are both former Auburn University and professional athletes who have Type 1 diabetes. They bonded when they each had low blood sugar during therapy. And they discovered a shared passion for helping others with diabetes receive the care they need. Working together on Swing 4 Diabetes, they have raised donations of over $350,000 for the Diabetes and Nutrition Center!
The year I started my own business, it was a struggle to find time to organize the golf tournament. Then I met a woman who’d been rationing her own insulin in order to buy groceries for her children. Talk about motivation! It touched my heart.

We were thrilled to sponsor and attend the 11th annual of Swing 4 Diabetes earlier this month. Diana is proud of what they’ve been able to achieve. The Diabetes Program has helped countless community members acquire needed supplies and education and resources that a diabetes diagnosis requires.

Diabetes affects 9.4% of the U.S. population and the costs of education, equipment, testing supplies, and insulin are incredibly high. The Diabetes and Nutrition Center of East Alabama Medical Center relies on donations from the EAMC Foundation to fund this program that is vital to our community’s health.

We always have a hard time picking just one non-profit for our October Giving Campaign, so this year we decided to let our clients choose. For every closing in the month of October, Three Sixty will give our clients a choice between seven non-profits to whom we will make a donation in their name!
