Three Sixty REALTOR® Michy Aja Named to Opelika Chamber of Commerce 2017-18 “20 Under 40” Class

Michy AjaThe Opelika Chamber of Commerce has proudly announced a new class for their “20 Under 40” program this past week. Three Sixty is proud to announce that our very own Michy Aja has been named to the exclusive group. The program recruits 20 outstanding people under the age of 40 who live in and love Opelika with the goal for the group to help shape the direction of the city’s future.  Members of the class are encouraged to think outside the box and are challenged to think of ways to make the city better and improve the quality of life.

“I’m thrilled to be chosen for this prestigious role. I love this community and I’m excited to see what kinds of things we can do to make Opelika an even better place to call home.”

2017-18 Opelika “20 Under 40” Class

As a proud member of the Opelika Chamber of Commerce, Michy loves to help members of her community find their dream home. Michy’s husband Tim is a Navy pilot and the family has relocated several times and weathered multiple deployments. She understands all too well the stress of military life, and she gets great satisfaction out of using that experience to help clients, and especially military families, through that sometimes challenging process.

A top producer at Three Sixty, Michy is always looking for ways to improve her knowledge in order to make things easier for her clients. She is a certified Military Relocation Professional (MRP), a program educates REALTORS® about working with U.S. service members and their families and veterans to find the housing solutions that best suit their needs and to take full advantage of available benefits and support. Additionally, she is currently working on her Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR®) Certification, a series of courses focused on knowledge needed for agents working directly with buyer-clients.

It’s time for our 5 question quiz with our January Spotlight Agents. Enjoy these fun and interesting answers!

Brad Tapley

1. When you were a chid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

A Veterinarian. I’ve always loved being around animals and being outdoors enjoying nature.

2. What is the best compliment you have ever received?

“You’re a lifesaver!” I always feel I have accomplished something when I hear this. Whether it’s a simple task helping a friend or from being a nurse caring for someone’s family member. It’s always good to put a smile on someone’s face and know you made a difference in someone’s life.

3. What do you trust with your life?

A Lifejacket. I fish many bass tournaments and if the boat were to sink I could make it to shore without exerting too much energy.

4. What was the first thought you had when you woke up this morning?

“How many times can I hit snooze and still make it to my hunting stand before daylight?!”

5. If you could be any age for a week, what age would it be?

I would stay 26 as so many exciting things are happening at this point in my life.

Hollis Marshall

1. When you were a chid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

A school teacher.  I had the best 2nd grade teacher and wanted to be just like her.

2.What is the best compliment you have ever received?

When someone compliments my children.  With life, sometimes you feel like you are pulled in so many directions and are not doing anything well.  When a compliment is given to my children about their manners/behavior it is such encouragement that my husband and I are raising good kids and succeeding in a game where there is not a playbook and rules.  It is a great feeling.

3. What do you trust with your life?

I trust God with my life.  I know he has a plan for me although sometimes I feel like I am still figuring it out!  He has always provided everything I needed even when I didn’t think there was a way.

4. What was the first thought you had when you woke up this morning?

“I overslept! I have to get busy with work while the kids are still sleeping.”  I am looking forward to them being back to school so that we can get back to our “normal” routine.

5.  If you could be any age for a week, what age would it be?

23!  This age was wonderful and I did not take full advantage of it then.  I wish I knew then what I know now!  It is a great age where you are stepping out into the world from college, establishing your career and where you want to begin putting your roots down.  It is a great age to travel, experience adventures and for the most part have only yourself to worry about.  If you make a mistake, there is still plenty of time to recover from it.  Life is easy and carefree at 23.
