Evan Crawford has an Auburn story like no other! Originally from Prattville, AL, Evan signed an athletic scholarship to play baseball at Auburn University in 2005. While at Auburn, he was able to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Adult Education as well as be drafted to play professional baseball with the Toronto Blue Jays. Evan played 7 years professionally with the Blue Jays before being traded to the Chicago White Sox.
Although the playing season took him far from home, he always returned to spend his off-seasons in “The Loveliest Village on the Plains.” He and his wife, who was a gymnast on the Auburn Gymnastics team while in college, have lived in Auburn now for ten years. They have since welcomed their own “little Auburn Tigers,” Avett and Edalyn, and are excited to be raising a family in a community that has meant so much to them.
Evan spends much of his downtime playing the guitar, spending time with his kids, camping with his family, and woodworking. In 2017, along with his Team Member, Matthew Willis, he co-founded the charity Mission: Outdoor reCREATION. A charity created to give back to Auburn’s Public Outdoor Spaces with local park “clean-ups” and events to raise money for park projects; one being an ADA approved playground at Town Creek Park. The Crawford-Willis team is excited to have a portion of each commission now going to the charity.
Evan is glad to work closely with people within the community on reaching their homestead dreams. While representing clients in their search for a place to call home, he enjoys getting to know his clients personally in order to find them a home that is the perfect fit for them.
